Invisalign
Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without the use of conventional metal braces. The Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable custom-made aligners to move your teeth. It’s a comfortable technology, because you avoid the mouth abrasions that can be caused by the metal and wires of conventional braces. It’s also convenient, because you’re likely to spend less time in our office getting adjustments.
Because you remove your Invisalign aligners before you eat or drink, you can enjoy your meals without worrying about getting food trapped in your teeth - and you’re not limited as to the foods you can eat. You’ll also be able to keep your teeth and gums healthier because you remove the aligners to floss and brush.
Implants
Dental implants offer a solid, secure, and aesthetic way of replacing a tooth or teeth lost because of accident, injury, disease or extraction. An implant is special titanium post that is placed into the upper or lower jaw. The bone in your jaw bonds to the post, forming a secure foundation onto which your new teeth are then attached and shaped to match your mouth.
Implants can help replace a single tooth, or a full set of teeth. Dr. Baker, who has received special training in both implant placement and in implant restoration, will be happy to discuss various implant options with you.

Soft Tissue Management
Because she originally trained as a hygienist, Dr. Baker places special emphasis on the importance of keeping your gums healthy. Healthy gums serve as the foundation for a beautiful smile and contribute to your overall good health. On the other hand, people with unhealthy gums - those suffering from periodontal disease - not only face a very real risk of losing their teeth but may also be opening themselves up to a variety of other health care problems. The bacteria that cause periodontal disease have been linked to systemic diseases such as stroke, diabetes and heart disease.
Tooth Colored Fillings
At our office we use bonded composite resins to fill cavities. These tooth-colored fillings have several advantages. They look natural—who wants to see a flash of silver when you open your mouth to smile? They seal your teeth better, so they provide a better protection against further decay. They also insulate better against hot and cold, and can be repaired easily if they wear down.
Many people who are undergoing a cosmetic improvement on their front teeth elect to have dark silver fillings in their back teeth replaced with the tooth-colored fillings to provide a total cosmetic improvement. Please let Dr. Baker know if you’d like more information about tooth-colored fillings.
Da Vinci Veneers
Da Vinci veneers are ultra-thin shells of ceramic material which are bonded to the front of your teeth. They are a quick way to improve your smile by hiding chipped, crooked or discolored teeth. Veneers can brighten your smile quickly and are resistant to staining from coffee, tea, or cigarettes.
Digital radiographs
We know many patients are concerned about the amount of radiation they receive from conventional x-rays. That’s why we use digital radiographs, which expose you to 90% less radiation than ordinary dental x-rays. Digital radiographs are stored on our office computer, so they can be easily and immediately retrieved if we need to refer to them; plus, digital x-rays don’t require the developing chemicals that can be harmful to the environment.
Intraoral cameras
Intraoral cameras allow us to zero in on any suspicious area of your mouth, teeth or gums and get a close-up view. This helps in our diagnosis and treatment. The intraoral camera also makes you a better partner in your dental care, because we can show you on the computer screen what we’re seeing, allowing you to make more informed decisions.
Nitrous Oxide
If you’re feeling tense or anxious about receiving your dental treatment, nitrous oxide can help you relax. This colorless, pleasant-smelling gas is completely safe and leaves your system quickly, so you can drive home safely from your appointment.)
Conscious Sedation
If you are highly anxious about receiving your dental care, or if you need a great deal of dental care completed, conscious sedation may be a good choice for you. You simply take a small pill before you come to our office (you’ll need someone to drive you to and from your appointment). During your appointment, you’ll be in a completely relaxed, drowsy state—able to answer questions if we need you to, but not really aware of what’s happening. Your appointment –and your dental work—will be completed before you know it!)
